Our travels took us to the beautiful Inn at Fontanel in Music City USA, Nashville, Tennessee. The six room inn was originally a Southern Living showcase home. With six unique suites and a 2700 square foot deck that connects most of the rooms; the inn offers quiet comfort 15 minutes away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Nashville. It’s a perfect place for a family gathering. Our family gathered there for my daughters graduation from college. We booked all of the six suites and had the entire inn reserved just for family and friends. The graduation luncheon was catered by one of the restaurants that’s located on the grounds of the Fontanel complex.
Fontanel is one of Nashville’s premier destinations situated on 186 acres nestled in the rolling hills of the Whites Creek Valley. Property activities include tours of the Fontanel Mansion, a 33,000 square foot log cabin and former home of Country Music Hall of Fame member Barbara Mandrell. Concerts at the Carl Black Chevy Woods Amphitheater, Adventureworks Zipline Forest, and three miles of public walking trails provided by Metro Parks and Greenway. Handcrafted small batch fine wines are available at Natchez Hills Winery, where you can enjoy a personalized tasting and take your favorite bottle home. There’s also bourbon tasting at Prichard’s Distillery. Cafe Fontanella is the property’s award-winning restaurant, and is open 7 days a week featuring Italian/American cuisine.
